I was taken back by a post that Charlie Kirk had shared on his Twitter. It was a pastor preaching from the pulpit about God being gay, black, middle-eastern… and since we are direct reflections of God are also God and He is us. Video LINK

I hesitated. I read through the comment section. People were either tearing this pastor apart in the comments or tearing up Charlie Kirk for being a racist homophobe. None of these comments hit the mark. While everyone is bent on being the least “Racist”, we are losing sight of the fact that God is not on the same playing field as us.

The pastor goes on to say God is us, and we are God based on being direct reflections of God. Man, that is dangerous territory. We live in a fallen world and while we may be reflections of God, we are flawed. Imagine looking in the truest mirror ever made, and seeing your reflection resemble the Lord… maybe that is heaven? A more accurate concept of reflection here is your image on the surface of a lake.

It is through Christ that we will gain access to God. So to equate God with man is patently at odds with scripture.

Next in the video is this idea that since we are all God, we are to prop up each others fault, sins, and deficiencies as successes or wins. No. We are to strive to be the best we can be and offer “Tolerance” to others in love. We are not to prop up faults and celebrate sins with others because there is a difference between tolerance and endorsement.

I don’t usually bring too much of my faith to these pages, but sometimes I feel super-compelled to share. I believe that when the inspiration is this strong… someone needed to see it.
